Meet the Front Office Staff

Mary Baca
Mary Baca, Financial & Principal's Secretary
Mary is starting her ninth year in the office at Governor’s Ranch and loves interacting with the parents, teachers and especially the students. Mary has lived in Littleton for almost her whole life. She went to Arapahoe High School and then graduated from Colorado State University with a business degree. Her first job was at Lockheed Martin working in Cost Management. That is where she met her husband of 25 years, Mike. She then transferred to a position at FlightSafety Services as a Business Administrator for the C-5 Program providing air crew training for the Air Force. Once her son Grant (now 23) was born she was fortunate to be able to become a full time stay home mom. Her second child Maddie (20) was born a few years later and she stayed home until both children went to elementary school. Once they were in school at Normandy Elementary Mary became a Kindergarten aide for a few years and then moved to the office as Enrollment Secretary. Luckily Mary was transferred to the office at GRE and the rest is history! Mary and Mike are now empty nesters and enjoy, traveling, skiing and hanging out in the mountains, especially in Breckenridge.
Lesa Higgins
Lesa Higgins, School Secretary
Lesa started her career at the Arabian Horse Registry in Westminster, CO. First she was a customer service representative and then a customer service supervisor. It sounds really cool, but remember it was customer service so you can imagine there were some times that weren't that fun. The fun started when she got to stay home and raise her two daughters for several years. When they started school, she decided that if she was going to go back to work, she'd try to get a schedule that fit with school. So she was a paraprofessional in Denver Public Schools for several years before deciding to go back to school and become a librarian. She worked in Jeffco for 9 years as a librarian at various schools. After some family crises in 2017 she decided to pursue a path that would allow more free time so she moved into Governor's Ranch's office where she enjoys working with the office team and the families of GRE.

Donna Westwood
Donna Westwood, Health Aide
Mrs. Westwood is excited for her tenth year at Governor's Ranch as the Health Aide. Before becoming a Health Aide, Mrs. Westwood went to Jeffco Schools (Green Gables, Carmody, and Bear Creek High) and then college (University of Northern Colorado) where she majored in History and minored in Education and Sociology. She taught for seven years and then stayed home to raise three children. The Westwoods also were a foster family during that time and took care of 30 foster babies in a span of almost eight years. Mrs. Westwood would love to be a foster mom again but she hasn't talked Mr. Westwood into that idea, yet. The Westwood Family consists of daughters; Kelyn (married to James), and Maggie, son; David, cat; Lexie, and bunny; Leia. Mrs. Westwood also enjoys scrapbooking, cross-stitching, and reading.
