Mrs. Alicia Fischer
[email protected]
Mrs. Fischer is excited to begin her fifth year teaching at Governor’s Ranch, and her 16th year of teaching in Jefferson County. Most of her time has been spent in fourth grade with an additional two years in third and one year in seventh grade. Teaching is Mrs. Fischer’s second career; her first career was in corporate wellness where she taught adults how to live healthy. While working in corporate wellness she was also coaching cross country at Evergreen High School. Coaching was what made her realize she wanted to work with kids, and therefore went back to school in order to pursue a career in teaching. Outside of work she enjoys her family life with her husband of 19 years, Brent, and her 10-year-old son, Zach. She loves watching Zach play baseball, football, and basketball. In addition she enjoys sharing her love of hiking with Zach in the summer, and winters are spent skiing with the entire family. Mrs. Fischer is very happy to be working at Governor’s Ranch, and looks forward to starting a new year! |

Ms. Gail Walls
[email protected]
Ms. Walls’ education started at Hart's Hill Elementary School where it was possible to ski at Snow Ridge in the morning and be back in time for Mrs. Creaser's Kindergarten class in the afternoon. She graduated from Harding University, "Near the foothills of the Ozarks, midst of hill and plain." It wasn't long after graduation that the seed was planted; the teaching bug bit her. Years later she went back to school at UCD to make that dream come true. She is blessed to work with the children at Governor's Ranch and their families.
