Mrs. Arnold has been a teacher for 23 years. She taught at Green Mountain Elementary for six years and then moved to Governor’s Ranch. She has taught kindergarten, first, second, and fourth grade and has loved them all! She studied art, history and reading development while earning her BA degree at UNC and Metro and then went back to school for her Master’s Degree in curriculum and instructional leadership. She remembers always wanting to be a teacher but loved her high school and college jobs as well. One of her favorites was being a court bailiff, and every now and then, she starts the day by shouting, “All rise!” to her students and banging on a table! Mrs. Arnold’s husband is also a teacher in Jeffco and they have two kids: Ella (15) and Sam (12). They also have two very crazy dogs- Maggie and Ollie. During summer, Mrs. Arnold loves to travel and camp with her family. She also loves to binge-watch TV shows and movies, read, and cook yummy food…when she finds the time!

Laurie Dalesio

Mrs. Laurie Dalesio
Mrs. Dalesio has spent her entire 12 year career at Governors Ranch, and absolutely loves it! Originally from Portland, OR, a move to attend Colorado Christian University made Colorado her permanent home. She earned her bachelors in Education and then continued her college career to earn her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction a few years later. When not in the classroom, Mrs. Dalesio enjoys spending time with her husband of 11 years, Jeremiah, and her 2.5 year old son Grayson. In addition, she is excited to welcome baby number two in January 2019! You can always find Mrs. Dalesio cheering on the Oregon Ducks football team, dreaming of her next DisneyWorld trip, or relaxing at home.

Amy rootes
Mrs. Amy Rootes
This is Mrs. Rootes' second year on the second grade team after teaching third grade at GRE since 2002. Prior to that she was in Douglas County and Sheridan where she taught fifth grade and was an intervention specialist. She began researching education when her first child was born with Down Syndrome. Along her way, she discovered a passion for the classroom and believes labels should not define a child but rather a child should be empowered to write his or her own story. Mrs. Rootes received her Masters of Education and Principal license in 2008 and planned on moving into administration. However, life had another plan for her and her empty nest husband and brought them Brayden. He is now 9 years old. She and her husband live in Castle Rock where they "attempt" to keep up with Brayden and enjoy visiting with their three other grown children and grand daughter. If she's not in her classroom, Mrs. Rootes and her husband are attending all the sports activities that come with a 9-year-old and traveling the world when time allows.
