Mrs. Arnold has been a teacher for 29 years and has been at Governor's Ranch for 23 of them! She has taught kindergarten, first, second, and fourth grade and has loved them all! She studied art, history and reading development while earning her BA degree at UNC and Metro and then went back to school for her Master’s Degree in curriculum and instructional leadership. Mrs. Arnold says that being in the classroom, watching kids learn is magical. Mrs. Arnold’s husband is also a teacher at Governor's Ranch and they have two kids: Ella (21) and Sam (18). Ella is a senior Reed college in Oregon and Sam is a freshman at CU Denver. During summer, Mrs. Arnold enjoys traveling and relaxing with her family. She also loves to binge-watch TV shows and movies, read, and cook yummy food…when she finds the time!

Ms. Mary Knox

Ms. Knox is originally from Ohio but moved to Colorado as a child. She attended and graduated from Jeffco Public Schools! She has one son, Sebastian (6), who is about to start 1st grade and an adopted American Bulldog names Zoe. Ms. Knox has a BA in History and a Masters in Elementary Education, both from MSU Denver. She graduated this past May, and this is her first year teaching. Before teaching, she coached kids classes in a martial art.
In her free time, Ms. Knox trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, reads, writes, and travels with her friends and family. She is passionate about teaching and looking forward to being a part of and helping nurture the amazing community of families, students, and educators at GRE!

Mrs. Esther Mailo

Mrs. Mailo (formerly Mrs. Fred) moved to Colorado ten years ago from the island of Oahu, Hawaii. She is married to Shaun and together they have three children, Troy (15), Annalise (12), Johnathan (9), and a fur baby, Makai (1.5).
Mrs. Mailo earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Hawaii and her Masters degree in Elementary Education. She is now in her 15th year as an educator here in Colorado.
In her spare time she enjoys adventures with her family and friends to see all the beauty that Colorado has to offer. Mrs. Mailo feels fortunate to have visited more states living in Colorado than she has in her entire lifetime! Whenever possible, she loves to return to the islands and visit her favorite places.
Mrs. Mailo is going into her tenth year at GRE and she is humbled to work alongside her talented second grade teammates along with all the amazing students, staff, and families. GRE is an extended ohana/aiga/famili (family in Hawaiian, Samoan, and Tongan) to Mrs. Mailo and she is blessed to be a part of the GRE ohana everyday!
