Lori Elvera
Lori Elvera

Mrs. Elvera, aka Mrs. E, is looking forward to beginning her 25th year as a Paraprofessional at GRE. She primarily works in the copy room, helps supervise lunch/recess and works with students in different grade levels. Mrs. Elvera received her bachelor's degree from Ft. Lewis College - Durango. She is married to Dan and they have one son, Nick who is a former student of GRE/Columbine HS and graduated from CU-Boulder, Leeds School of Business, currently working at Lockheed Martin. She loves working with the students at GRE! Her favorite past times include camping, hiking, fishing, and anything with her dogs. She shares her passion of the Denver Broncos with the students, and anything sports related. Her family "is owned" by several Samoyeds and is actively involved in the canine community; participating in conformation (dog shows), agility, pack hiking, dog sledding, obedience, rally, FastCAT, public education and volunteers for the local and national breed club.

Mrs. Fox will be starting her second year with GRE. After 22 years with Farmers Insurance, she retired and still wanted to make a difference in others. She has three grown children and seven grandchildren all but two live in the Columbine area. She along with her husband Michael are Colorado natives and enjoy playing golf, travel and being with family.

Mrs. Frenette is excited for her seventh year as a Kindergarten Para. She loves the enthusiasm and excitement kindies bring as they begin GRE and is amazed by their growth as the school year progresses. Prior to working at GRE, Mrs. Frenette worked as a Jeffco preschool Special Ed Teacher Assistant for 13 years. She and her husband, Greg have two adult sons: Chris and Matt (Jess) and a grandson, Keegan. Outside of work, Mrs. Frenette enjoys hanging out with her family, golfing, watching sports (Sko Buffs, Go Avs) and doing jigsaw puzzles. Her family has been a part of the Governors Ranch Community for 25+ years.

Katie McCarty

This is Mrs. McCarty’s first year at GRE and she is so excited to be apart of this wonderful community. Prior to now, Mrs. McCarty has worked as a 3rd Grade and 5th Grade teacher in different years for Jeffco and Denver Public Schools. Mrs. McCarty’s favorite thing about working in schools is the time to work in small groups and support students with individual goals/needs, and she is excited to focus her role on a lot of that this year. Her and her husband, Mitch, and their foster children (when they have kids) live nearby and love things like hosting friends and family for dinner, spending time outside, playing board/card games, volunteering together, reading, and sipping coffee (just Katie). Please come say hi anytime if you see her, as she is excited to get to know our GRE families!

Susie Nelson

Mrs. Nelson is in her seventh year as a Para at GRE. Both of her kids attended GRE and are now a Senior at North Greenville University in Tigerville, SC and a Sophomore at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Both kids are Collegiate Lacrosse goalies, so most of her husband Chris and her free time involves travel to Lacrosse games around the country. Mrs. Nelson loves to golf any chance she can and snow ski too. Fun fact: Mrs. Nelson lived in Breckenridge for over 20 years before moving to Governor's Ranch. GRE is Great!

Mrs. Saul has been a paraprofessional at GRE for 10 years but her favorite time has been the last 8 years with Alex Ryckman in Kindergarten. She absolutely loves working with Alex and the kids bring her so much joy as they are full of enthusiasm beginning their education journey. Her family has lived in the community for 15 years. She has 2 boys, both are seniors, one is at University of Wyoming and the other is at Columbine High School. Originally from CA, she had to adjust to the outdoor lifestyle that her family loves. Their trips involve camping, fishing, horseback riding or, her favorite, the beach! In her spare time she also enjoys sewing and gardening.
