Shannon Sage is very excited to be a part of the GRE family. This is her16th year teaching art grades K-8th for Jeffco schools. She was born and raised in this area and is still proud to call it home. She graduated from Metropolitan State University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Art degree, emphasis in painting. Her husband is also a teacher at a middle school in Conifer where he teaches choir and drama so they love the arts! Outside of teaching they enjoy being active and exploring Colorado through our state parks pass. They also help manage the coffee bar at their church, West Bowles Community Church, where they both sing in the choir as well

In the art room we are more than artists. We are creative problem solvers, risk takers, global citizens and most of all leaders of our own learning. We learn from our challenges and grow everyday.

Ms. Li is excited to join Governor’s Ranch Elementary as the music teacher! As a Tennessee native, she spent a few years traveling and teaching Band in Nashville, and began teaching music in Birmingham, AL, last year. Upon visiting Colorado in the Spring of 2021, she fell in love with the community, music, and mountains and decided to move here as soon as she could and fulfill that wish in the summer of ‘21. In the music classroom, she enjoys exploring world cultures, incorporating technology, and creating an environment where anybody regardless of age can join in on the magic! When she is not in the classroom, she enjoys outdoor activities, drinking coffee, arranging florals, and playing piano.
