Meet the Reading Tudors

Courtney Kemper

Courtney is one of the Colorado Reading Corps K - 3 Literacy Tutors at Governor's Ranch Elementary. She is so excited to be a part of the Governor's Ranch family and community. Courtney is a Colorado native. She graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in English. Courtney also received her certification as a professional dog trainer a few years ago and has a huge passion for animals. Courtney enjoys spending time in nature, baking, reading and horseback riding. She enjoys the time she gets to spend with the children at Governor's Ranch and helping them become successful readers!

Michele Is a Colorado native who loves nature, animals, and reading. She is super excited to share the delight of reading and learning with Governor's Ranch students this year. Michele worked the last several years at a mental health community corrections facility, where she created and taught the Urban Farm & Eco Guardians life skills class. During this time, she also volunteered with the A Stronger Cord organization, helping folks on the “comeback trail” with healthy and positive community integration and service activities. Michele looks forward enthusiastically to this school year with Governor's Ranch Elementary!
