Ms. Sandra Meyer
[email protected]
Ms. Meyer is in love with everything Snoopy as you can see when you enter her classroom! This is her 17th year at Governor's Ranch Elementary and 22nd year as a teacher. Teaching kindies is such a joy, watching them grow and learn by leaps and bounds during the school year is incredible!
Ms. Meyer has three children, Sara (29), also a Kindergarten teacher in Jeffco, Becca (26), a graduate of CSU and currently in nursing school, and Matthew (24), a graduate of DU and an accountant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Her kids all attended GRE and she landed her dream job at GRE in 2005! This June Sara and husband, Chris welcomed their first child, Wesley!!! Everyone is over the moon with Wesley and being a grandma (I’m called Mimi) has added such joy in her heart. When not at school, Ms. Meyer loves spending time with her kids, having family dinners, reading, and walking her three dogs, Bella (12), Zoey (7), and Auburn (4).

Mrs. Alex Ryckman
[email protected]
Mrs. Ryckman is so excited to start her tenth year teaching Kindergarten at GRE! She received her bachelor's degree as well as her teaching license in Early Childhood Education at Metropolitan State College of Denver (where she met her amazing husband Tim, an art teacher in Douglas County) and her master's degree from Lesley University in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy. She began her career in Englewood where she taught first and second grade. When her first child was born she left teaching for ten years to stay home with him (Jack is now 19 and a sophomore at the University of Kansas, and Ruthie is 16 and is a junior at D’Evelyn). Both of her kids went to school at GRE and she knew that if she ever went back to teaching, her dream job would be teaching at GRE because of the amazing staff, students and community! She and her family have lived in Governor's Ranch for 18 years. In their free time they love to hang out at the pool, hike in the mountains or travel anywhere with a beautiful beach.
